"Guardians of the Galaxy" actress Zoe Saldana has welcomed twin boys with husband Marco Perego.
According to Saldana's rep via People, "Cy Aridio and Bowie Ezio Perego-Saldana were born Thursday, Nov. 27 in Los Angeles," said the new mom's camp. "Mother and sons are happy and healthy."
The very private 36-year-old recently took to Twitter to confirm, for the first time that she had given birth.
The star wrote the following caption and accompanied the New Year greeting with a photo of two sets of milk bottles in front of a spread of caviar, champagne, pate, bread and cheese.
"Happy #2015 ! Starting our #NewYear with a fullhouse. Our boys are finally here! Thank U 4 all the beautiful wishes!"
The actress posted the same photo over Instagram mentioning the name of her twin boys.
"Our boys CY and BOWIE are finally here. #marcoperego and I wanted to thank you for your beautiful wishes and for your patience."
Hollywood Life recalls an appearance on October in the Ellen DeGeneres' talk show where Saldana spoke about the process she and her husband Marco are going through to find the right names for their twins.
"We just want them to be healthy," said the actress but their parents had a different idea.
"My husband is very Italian and I'm very Latina, so every day we have messages from our parents, 'Oh it should be Rocco, Giovanni, Luigi, Antonio Ramon Jose.' And you're like, 'Oh my god, people chill, chill,'" she said. "We're kind of hippie we want it to be like, Lavender," she added, laughing, "I'm joking," added the movie star.
Saldana has refused to comment on her pregnancy and only began to talk about it -- very minimally -- after she was photographed bumping bellies with Guardians co-star Chris Pratt in July, recalled People.
"Whatever it is you're feeling internally, doesn't mean that you have to look it," commented the "Colombiana" star in an interview with the Magazine. "Make an effort and look beautiful because it's a beautiful time."
Congratulations to the growing family!
