Talk about a great holiday!
"Gossip Girl" alum Blake Lively has reportedly given birth to her first child with husband Ryan Reynolds. The actors are said to have welcomed their first child -- whose sex has not been announced -- in December.
According to Page Six, the 27-year-old actress gave birth to their child near their home in Bedford, NY, just before the New year.
The site reports that while their little bundle of joy was born early, the newborn baby is doing well and in good health.
"The baby came early but everyone is happy and healthy," quoted Us Weekly of an insider. "The Bedford house is all prepared. They're going to stay up there for the baby's first days."
"The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" star has been very open about her excitement. During a separate interview with Us Weekly, the actress said: "It's something that I've always wanted ever since I was a little girl."
She continued: "I never knew what I wanted to do for a living but I knew I wanted to have a lot of kids because I had come from a big family, so it was always important to me. So it's just the excitement of that finally being here."
Lively also gushed about her husband and the fact that she knows Reynolds will be a wonderful dad.
"He's going to be a great father and leader and patriarch - he's so meant to be all of those things," she said."The fact that he lived so much before we got together, he's the exact realized person that he should be. And so I get to share my life with the person he's become, and we get to grow from there," shared the star to Vogue, via Us, in 2014.
Likewise, "The Captive" actor is very eager to become a dad.
"I'm just excited about having a buddy," he told People earlier. "For a lot of new dads, you tend to dwell on the mistakes you don't want to make. I'm at that stage still where I'm focused primarily on being open and understanding and leaving a lot of room for error."
Lively and Reynolds, 37, were co-stars in 2011's "Green Lantern" after dating, the Hollywood A-Listers tied the knot in 2012.
The stars made the pregnancy announcement in October via Blake's lifestyle website, Preserve, wherein she shared a photo of her baby bump, which was taken by her brother, Eric Lively, recalled E! Online.
Page Six, the first to report on the news, says Lively's rep, Leslie Sloane, has not commented on the matter saying Blake and Ryan couldn't be reached.
Congratulations to the happy parents!
