Apple Watch Release Date, Specs & Price: Ads for iWatch Leaked? TapSense Confirms Advertisement on Wrist

TapSense, the leading mobile advertising exchange company, launched its first ad platform for Apple Watch on Monday. The platform is said to have leveraged Apple WatchKit tools in order to create ads that are relevant to consumers' present needs. It also uses the GPS system of iPhone connected to it to notify local ads such as coupons and store offers.

Business Insider reports that TapSense is confident with its programmatic ad platform "which works by automatically deploying ads based on events and sets of rules to ensure ads are highly targeted and hyper-local, is a natural fit for a wrist interface like Apple Watch."

Apple's sheer dominance in the techno-innovative battle could easily bring new waves in disruptive innovation. Ash Kumar, TapSense CEO and Founder, is positive that this new ad platform would create new markets and value network to Apple's wearable products such as the Apple Watch.

"Wearables and Internet of Things (IoT) are the next frontiers in the mobile revolution. We are excited to announce industry's first programmatic ad platform for Apple Watch developers and brands", Kumar's words read in a statement released by TapSense.

He continues that TapSense is helping the developers and marketers create new territories to deliver advertisements to the consuming public. "While most of our competitors are focused on banner ads and legacy platforms, we are focused on innovation and next generation platforms."

He also added that there is a big potential in the Apple Watch to become a category disruptor just like iPod and iPhone by bringing new technological experience to the consumers.

TapSense is boasting certain features that the platform can bring to the table.

Important Features

  •  Interactive formats - As a solution to its small screen, TapSense is using interactive interfaces that are backed up by Apple WatchKit like watch faces, glances, and full-screen capabilities, ridding the need to integrate banner ads.
  •  Hyper-local targeting - Because of the ease to carry it, Apple Watches are much more accessible. TapSense has even leveraged the GPS system of connecting iPhones to bring in notifications or updated offers from local businesses like coupons and other store offers. Hyper-local offers are not as exploited among advertisers because legacy platforms require an initiated interaction with businesses. With TapSense working in Apple Watches, marketers can always bring their products and services to potential customers.
  •  Apple Pay As explained directly from TapSense, hyper-local coupons that are delivered through the ad platform "can be redeemed by the consumer right from the convenience of their wrist."
