It seemed that Selena Gomez is welcoming the new year with new love interest.
Rumors started to swirl that the "Come & Get It" hitmaker is dating Bosnian footballer Sejad Salihović after a picture and a video posted online showed the two together in Dubai for New Year's celebration.
According to an article by Hollywood Life, the 22-year-old singer made a New Year's Eve trip to Dubai where she met 30-year-old Sejad, who was vacationing in the Middle East during the Bundesliga break.
Sejad is a midfielder for the German team called the 1899 Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga, and the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team. He was born in Bosnia, but later migrated to Berlin, Germany in 1992.
He started his career playing for youth teams of lower-league sides Minerva 93 Berlin and Hertha 03 Zehlendorf, before he was transferred to Hertha BSC for the 2000-01 season. He made his professional debut after winning a match against Hamburger SV in 2004. Two years later, he made a move playing for 1899 Hoffenheim.
Sejad posted a photo on his Instagram account of him and Selena riding a camel together. In his caption, he mentioned that she was part of his "crew" and was very grateful for the experience.
Meanwhile, a video posted by Selena on her Instagram account showed the two enjoying a dinner with their friends.
However, in another post by Hollywood Life, it appeared that the singer spent a good time in Dubai all thanks to a certain guy named Harith Bukhash, who helped her plan her trip to the city. According to the post, Harith treated her like a princess.
Harith is a businessman who owns a boutique talent agency called the Bukhash Brothers, which he manages together with his siblings. Harith was in charge of planning Selena's trip in the country, but eventually, the two was able to form a close friendship.
Hollywood Life reports that a source revealed that Selena had the "best time of her life" in Dubai, and bonded with Harith. He also treated Selena and a group of friends to dinner at Zuma, a popular Japanese restaurant in Dubai.
Before her trip to Dubai, Selena bumped into her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber at the tanning salon, Luxury Tan & Makeovers, in Calabasas last Dec. 27, reports Hollywood Life.
Coincidentally, Selena was wearing the 20-year-old singer's clothes when she came to the studio with a friend.
