'Destiny' Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3: Players Given Free 'Legendary' Gifts [How To Get Yours]

The season of giving continues for Destiny players as Bungie distributes surprise "Legendary" gifts to all its players.

The announcement, made over the studio's official Twitter account advised players to check emails and the in-game Postmaster to confirm their packages.

Per GameSpot, all players of Destiny have begun to find a randomly distributed legendary class weapon which is described t be "a gift from an unknown benefactor."

"Collected reports from players on Reddit suggests that the special gift can either be a primary, secondary, or heavy weapon," noted the site.

Bungle hinted earlier this week that players would be receiving suck tokens. During the time, it described them as "a small, but Legendary token of gratitude."

The delivery of the tokens is the conclusion to an otherwise frustrating holiday season for Destiny players, reported GameRant.

Prior to the Christmas season, many players were expecting special promos, discounts and extras but due to the hack that rendered Xbox Live and PSN basically useless, many players were left disappointed as they were unable to set up and/or use their devices.

Players were unable to enjoy the game once the system was back online. As a token of gratitude, Bungie announced they would be providing holiday tokens. However, as Dec. 2015 came and went, it was later shared by the studio that the provision of gifts would be delayed till Jan.

Now, after quite the wait, Bungie has delivered on its promise. The developer began shipping holiday items to Destiny players which have been made available through the Postmaster.

While others were glad to receive their holiday tokens, some felt it could have been better.

"By just giving out a single legendary (or in some cases, exotic) item, some, less grateful players are unimpressed and it seems that Bungie may have hyped up this bonus to the point where expectations were raised a little too high," continued GameRant.

When compared to the generous gifts given by Rockstar for GTA V players as well as Bungie for its Halloween Gift, some were hoping for something along the same lines or even better.

To be fair, based on the tweets of Bungie, they were honest. The company specifically cited the gifts would be "small."

If you haven't received your item, as advised by Bungie, double check your emails and the in-game Postmaster.

Destiny was released Sept. Of 2014 and is available on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
