While they have been friends for a long time, new reports indicate that Pitbull is smitten with his World Cup anthem partner, Jennifer Lopez.
According to Life & Style, Pitbull -- real name Armando Christian Perez -- has got it bad for J.Lo. The site claims that the 33-year-old rapper considers his "We Are One (Ole Ole)" partner to be his "ideal type."
An insider revealed that Pitbull has "always considered her to be his ideal type: curvy, talented and Latina," but to date, while they may occassionally flirt, their friendship remains purely platonic.
Jennifer Lopez has been in relationships with some of the most high-profile celebrities which includes the likes of P. Diddy, Ben Affleck and Marc Anthony. After divorcing husband Marc Anthony, J.Lo was involved with her dancer, Casper smart, which ended June 2014.
"He's never made a move because she's always been linked with someone - first [ex- hubby] Marc Anthony, then Casper Smart. But now he's telling pals that he and J. Lo could be the next Brangelina. He's even come up with their mash-up name: Pit-Lo."
Lopez and Perez have worked well professionally. Hollywood Life noted their many projects including 2011's "Fresh Out Of The Oven" and "On The Floor." Then in 2013, Pitbull was featured in the Latina's song "Live It Up."
Their most recent collaboration was for the 2014 World Cup.

Actress-turned-singer Jennifer commented on her relationship with Pitbull months earlier.
IBN Live recalled an appearance of Lopez on "The Wendy Williams Show" where she squashed romance buzz by referring to their relationship as something similar to being siblings.
"He's like a brother to me," said the "On The Floor" singer. "Listen, he's mister worldwide. He ain't got no time for me. He's got a lot going on," she concluded.
Smart was Lopez' first and only confirmed relationship after her split with ex-husband Anthony of seven years.
''Marc and I love each other and we always will. We're the best of friends and we support each other one hundred percent and we're in it together with those kids to make sure they turn out the right way."
The actress shares six-year-old twins Max and Emme with the singer and said they will always remain friends.
