Nike's collaboration with NBA players continues to bring new designs and colorways that would surely excite fans of the sport and their signature shoe line.
A report in Latino Post recently said that Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant's "KD 7" sneaker has come out with a new design in honor of the star's collegiate career. The "Longhorn State" is one of the highly anticipated designs of KD 7, featuring animal print all over the shoe. This colorway debuted in select Nike retailers and on eBay in January 9.
Numerous other KD 7 designs are set to come out this year before the sportswear brand comes out with the eighth edition of the Kevin Durant signature shoes.
The NBA forward has already confirmed that a "KD 8" is in the works with Nike. Following the continued success of his signature line in Nike, the hoops star is once again collaborating with the sports brand for the concept of the upcoming KD shoes.
Sneaker Reporter noted that the upcoming eighth version would feature a sock-like material that could be extended up until the leg. Durant mentioned the upcoming shoes' new feature but he did say that he has yet to see the final images of this new design yet.
The KD 8 is expected to come out in July of this year. However, Nike has not made any official announcement on this upcoming sneaker yet.
But Kevin Durant fans should not fret as another design of the popular KD 7 is set to hit the shoe market soon. Nicknamed as the "Aunt Pearl," this shoe design was named after the famous player's aunt. The upcoming colorway for this shoe is said to be a drastic change from previous KD versions.
According to Durant, "The Aunt Pearl is different this year from the past years its going to be a shiny white and pink and its going to be simple but hot." While the player did not give a specific date on its release, he did mention that, "its going to be coming very soon."
Footbasket has indicated Feb. 1 as the official released date of KD 7 "Aunt Pearl."
Another KD 7 design set to hit retailers soon is "Clearwater," which is inspired by Durant's travels on the road for home games, noted Sneaker Bar Detroit. The "BHM" design is coming out on Jan. 24 and would feature a simple black and white color combination with a golden "BHM" lettering in the middle of the strap. This design is set in honor of the Black History Month, said Sneaker Bar Detroit in another report.
