The third installment for Sharknado is a go with Ian Ziering (Fin Shepard) and Tara Reid (April Wexler) back to take on more sharks. The 39-year-old actress took to Twitter to share the announcement with all her fans.
"Ok guys I have a great announcement get ready its official I just signed on to #Sharknado3 Woo hoo!!!!!" said the excited actress in her tweet.
After the announcement, Reid followed up with this grateful tweet thanking all her fans for the support and enthusiasm.
"Sharknado 2: The Second One" aired in July 30 with 3.9 million total viewers to become Syfy's highest viewed original movie, recalled Entertainment Weekly.
For eager fans who want to know what'll happen in the series' third installment, with limited release information, what we're sure of is the film's location.
According to sources, "Sharknado 3" will be making its return in the summer of this year to wreck havoc on not only one city but as it turns out, a number of them. According to TV Line, the series' second sequel will be hitting "the feast Coast," specifically, areas from Washington D.C. to Orlando, Fla.
The original film, which took place in Los Angeles was a surprise hit for Syfy as it took in an unexpected mass following. The sequel jumped cities and was set in New York. According to an earlier statement by Syfy, via Daily Mail, the story will feature "will cause mass destruction in the nation's capital then roar down the Eastern Seaboard."
Per the EW, we can expect a film continuance because aside from the main actors reprising their roles, director Anthony C. Ferrante and writer Thunder Levin will be back to give the series another go.
Other Cast Members
Aside from Reid and Ziering, other actors to be included in the film have not been revealed. However, one big screen actor has previously expressed his desire to be in the upcoming film.
"Harry Potter" star Daniel Radcliffe expressed interest to do a "Sharknado 3" cameo on the condition that the on-screen wizard would have an amazing death scene.
"Daniel said he loved the film and said he would do it if they found an amazing way for him to die," recalled Mirror UK of a source who spoke to NY Daily News.
"Sharknado 3" is scheduled to premiere July 2015.
