Ever since the Nickelodeon show, "Victorious" ended, rumors have ben going around that co-stars Victoria Justice and Ariana Grande are at odds and competing with each other.
According to The Daily Mail, some fans have been blaming Justice for the end of their TV show and have cited her desire to pursue solo career as the reason it was not renewed. But the singer has denied this.
The 21-year old singer said that she "didn't break up anything," when a TMZ cameraman asked her if she regretted disbanding with Ariana Grande. It has been two years since the show ended and many are left wondering if her singing career was behind its cancelation.
According to her, "That's complete misinformation, because first of all I had no control over leaving the show or the show ending. That was completely up to Nickelodeon and the executives."
Justice also added, "I love the cast and I loved doing Victorious. Me going on tour when I did had nothing to with whether or not there was a Victorious tour."
The rumor of a feud between the former co-stars has been brewing for a long time. Cambio reported that a few months after the announcement of the show's cancelation has been made, one fan commented on social network, Ask.fm that Grande's new show, "Sam & Cat ruined Victorious."
Grande replied and said, "Sweetheart the only reason Victorious ended is because 1 girl didn't want to do it. She chose to do a solo tour instead of a cast tour. If we had done a cast tour Nickelodeon would have ordered another season of Victorious while Sam and Cat filmed simultaneously but she chose otherwise. I'm sick of this bs."
Immediately after that, Justice posted an update on her Twitter feed saying, "Some people would throw some1 that they consider a friend under the bus just 2 make themselves look good #StopBeingAPhony #IfTheyOnlyKnew. The cryptic posts led fans to believe that both were referring to each other.
The replies of Justice and Grande were both taken down after.
Some insist that bad blood exists between the two, which Justice countered. "There is no feud," the singer said.
"We're not like best friends, but at the end of the day, I wish her well. And she's doing great, and I'm happy for her," she added.
On rumors that they are competing against each other, Justice had this to say, "We are on our own different paths, doing our own thing."
