iPad Pro 2015 Release Date, Specs & Price: Stylus Included in 12-inch Tablet?

For Apple, the bigger the better. Just when it introduced its lineup of much bigger smartphones with the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, the company announced its plan to release the iPad Pro, the biggest iPad to ever come out.

In an article posted on MacRumors, the upcoming product in the iPad lineup is expected to be a larger version of the iPad Air and will measure in at 12.2 to 12.9 inches, making it close to the size of the 13-inch MacBook Air.

However, other reports claim that the tablet would only likely to be 12.2 inches.

Although the iPad Pro remains to be unofficial, some say that the device would be called "iPad Air Plus," which takes after the iPhone 6 Plus and the iPad Air.

It was also reported that the tablet would closely resemble the iPad Air 2 and the iPad mini 3, which have thin chassis and slim bezels.

With the its thickness expected to measure in at 7mm, the iPad Pro could be slightly thicker than the 6.1 mm iPad Air 2 and the 6.9 mm iPhone 6, but slightly thinner than the 7.1 mm iPhone 6 Plus.

One of the most anticipated features of the iPad Pro is the rumor stylus accessory that would come with the device, according to 9t05Mac. It is rumored that the stylus would charge using a lightning cable.

On MacRumors, KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that the iPad Pro would be popular among enterprise and creative users who have a need for the use of a stylus. Kuo pointed out that the stylus would come as an optional accessory for the device since it could drive up the cost of the device.

The device is also likely to feature an ultra high-resolution display and an A8X processor. Rumors say it will include specifications like 2GB of RAM, Touch ID, and 802.11ac Wi-Fi, just like the iPad Air 2.

The A8X, which is an upgrade to the A8 processor that was introduced with the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, offers some significant performance improvements. The A8X processor is in the iPad Air 2 is rumored to be 55% faster than the A8 processor.

Users would also enjoy an improved stereo audio experience as rumors started to go around that microphones and speakers will be installed at the top and bottom edges of the device. In addition, iPad Pro was expected to have an "ultra" high-definition display, with a resolution of 2732 x 2048 and 265 pixels-per-inch (ppi).

So far, there have been no confirmation on the release date or price of the Apple device.
