Taylor Swift and The 1975 frontman, Matty Healy, have been the talk of the town after they were rumored to be dating since October last year. But it turns out, everything was fake.
According to an article posted on Hollywood Life, 25-year-old vocalist set the records straight in an interview with 2DayFM radio show last Jan. 19. When asked whether he was dating the "Shake It Off" hitmaker, he said that the reports are "all bloody fake."
He admitted that they did meet and exchanged numbers but pointed out that they occasionally talk to each other. He said that it was hard to start any relationship between the two of them since they were living in different parts of the world. Healy lives in Australia.
In November, Matt said in an interview with Shazam Top 20 he was looking forward to going out with Taylor and even called her a "sensation," reports another Hollywood Life article.
Taylor was spotted wearing a tank top with The 1975 logo printed on it while attending the band's concert on Nov. 19 in Los Angeles. But the Grammy award winner was seen hanging out with Harry Styles during the concert and the two even went backstage together to meet Matt.
According to Daily Maily, the two were rumored to start flirting when Matt wore Taylor's 1989 album T-shirts during one of their gigs, and soon after, Taylor followed suit.
During one of the band's concerts, Taylor posted a video on her Instagram account showing her and Selena Gomez singing along to the songs. She put a caption that read: "'Yeah you wanna find love? Then you know where the city is," which was a line from the band's hit single "The City."
Celebuzz reports that Taylor's rep said that the "Blank Space" singer remains "happily single." In past interviews, Taylor stressed that she was not looking for anything serious and said that she will stay unattached for now.
Taylor had dated Harry and John Mayer in the past, both of whom were rumored to be the inspiration for some of her songs.
Just recently, Taylor was caught in an awkward encounter with Harry during Caleb Followill's birthday party in Los Angeles, Califonia, according to another Hollywood Life report. But it looks like neither of them was interested in talking to each other.
Taylor was standing with a group of friends at the Sunset Marquis lobby when all of a sudden Harry approached their group and started talking to one of the guys. The two kept their distance and did not say word to each other.
