Rockstar Games is set to release the PC version of "GTA V" in March and has announced several preorder bonuses for those who bought the game ahead of its release, Computer and Video Games reported.
"GTA V" is an action, adventure, open world video game that was originally released in September 2013 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and was then followed by a November 2014 release to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It's set to come out with additional DLCs, as well as a PC version that will come out on March 24, Rockstar Games confirmed.
To amp up more interest for the upcoming "GTA V" PC, Rockstar Games announced that those who preorder the digital or physical version of the game will get a bonus in-game cash of $1,000,000. Half of the cash can be spent on the "GTA V," while the other half on "GTA Online."
Those who preorder the digital version of the game from Rockstar Warehouse before Feb. 1, on the other hand, will also get an additional $300,000 and also a free game of the buyer's choosing from Rockstar Warehouse and Rockstar PC Games.
Choices of games include "Grand Theft Auto" titles such as "Vice City," "San Andreas," "Episodes of Liberty City," "GTA III" and "GTA IV," according to Video Gamer.
Other titles that will come for free are "L.a. Noire: The Complete Edition," "Manhunt," "Bully: Scholarship Edition," "Midnight Club 2," "Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne" and "Max Payne 3."
Gamers and fans can preorder "GTA V" through Steam, Amazon, GameStop, Rockstar Warehouse and more if they want to avail of the new bonus.
Why the delay?
"GTA V" for the PC was originally set to come out on Jan. 27, but Rockstar Games announced last week that they were pushing back the delay to March 24 instead, according to Forbes.
At the time, fans were happy to note that Rockstar released the minimum specs required for the game, but were surprised when the company followed it up with the announcement of the delay.
They stated that they needed a few more weeks for testing and to polish things up with the game and added, "Moving a release date is never a decision we take lightly and is a choice we make only when we know it is in the best interests of the game and our fans."
Hopefully, the game is worth the wait. While gamers and fans anticipate the release, they can check out the video by GTA Series Videos talking about the system specs of "GTA V" PC, its upcoming release, screenshots and more game details.
