Tim Tebow News: Valentine's Date Revealed

Former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow has something special planned on Valentine's Day. His foundation is setting up a prom night-style of gathering for special kids on the night before Valentine's Day in celebration of its fifth anniversary.

The event, which is called "A Night to Shine," would be held simultaneously in different churches all over the United States, reported Inquistr. More than 7,000 children with special needs would be participating in the said event.

The Tim Tebow Foundation has coordinated with different churches including Amazing Grace International Ministries in Kenya and Ekisa Ministries in Uganda to make the event happen, said Fox News.

"A Night to Shine" would be held to pay tribute to teenagers who are challenged with different disabilities and needs.

In a statement made by Tebow on his foundation's official website, he said: "We are so excited to be able to create this opportunity for thousands of people around the country with special needs."

He added that the said event "perfectly fits [their] mission to bring faith, hope and love to those needing a brighter day in their darkest hour of need."

Everyone attending the event would be given a full red-carpet treatment, said IJ Review. The Tim Tebow Foundation would be providing attendees "professional-grade hair styling and makeup." Not only that, but a red carpet would be prepared on site to welcome guests. Professional photographers would also be available to capture the night's festivities.

People from Tebow's foundation are also preparing food, flowers, games and dance numbers to be performed that night. A special ceremony would also be held to award all guests with a tiara or crown, to help them remember the evening.

At The Crossing Church in Quincy, Illinois, Debbie Fasano and some other members of "A Night to Shine" committee are very busy making preparations for the event. Around 300 children from their church would be attending on February 13.

"Our goal is to make every individual feel special and loved that night, as if they're the only ones there," she said. Fasano noted that support for the special night has been massive in their church alone.

"The whole idea has just been amazing. The response from people who care for special needs kids has been overwhelming," she told Fox News.

Participants of the special Valentine's event have already taken their excitement to social media. Some have even posted photos of themselves looking for beautiful dresses to be worn that night.

Tim Tebow is a devout Christian who was a former quarterback for the Florida Gators.
