'Samsung Galaxy Note 4' New Model For Release This Week, Coming to the US?

Samsung's Galaxy Note 4 is arguably the best phablet available in the market and new reports indicate a new model to be released this week will boost the smartphone's already high-end specs.

BGR reports that even with the Note 4's already superior features, users who own the original model will definitely be envious of the soon-to-be-released upgraded version.

According to a South Korean publication, The Electronic Times, a new model of the 5.7-inch device, with SM-N916 model number, will sport better connectivity features. While the phone is basically the same as the original, the new Galaxy Note 4 model will have an Exynos 5433 processor that features Cat. 9 LTE support.

The original model of the Note 4 does support LTE- A (dual band carrier aggregation) but, per Android Headlines, the difference lies in the newer model's ability to support tri-band aggregation (i.e. Cat.6 LTE and Cat. 9 LTE). Users with the new version of the Note 4 will be able to tap LTE speeds of up to 450Mbps.

The new device will be offered by SK Telecom and to be supported by the carrier's new LTE-A Network.

Upgraded Samsung Note Edge Version?

Samsung surprised everyone last year when it unveiled not only the Note 4 but a new device, the Galaxy Note Edge that featured a curved-edge display for enhanced an notification experience.

The 5.7-inch Galaxy Note 4 has a Quad HD Super AMOLED (2560 x 1440 resolution) display, S Pen compatibility, 16-MP rear-facing snapper with optical image stabilization and a 3.7MP front-facing camera with f1.9 wide-angle lens. The Note 4 packs allows for heavy multi-tasking with its 3GB RAM, 32GB of storage (expandable for additional 64GB).

Samsung Galaxy Note Edge sports similar specs with a slightly smaller 5.6-inch quadHD Super AMOLED (2560 x 1440) display. The main difference is its right-side curved display.

There is no word if the sister device, the Note Edge, will have an upgrade S-LTE version.

To date, there is no word if the Samsung Galaxy 4 S-LTE will be made available outside of South Korea.

Stay tuned for more.
