'GTA 5' PC Release Date Delayed to March 24; Online 'Heists' DLC Also Moved

PC fans of the videogame "Grand Theft Auto" would have to wait a little bit longer before they could get their hands on its fifth installment. The game developers have announced that the PC version of "Grand Theft Auto V" would come out in March.

The new development is sure to see a lot of gamers disappointed. Many have been looking forward for its release ever since its developer, Rockstar Games, have told the public that it would come out on Jan. 27, reported Master Herald.

But two weeks before that release date arrives, word is out that the the PC version, its "GTA Online" and its much awaited "Online Heists," which are set to be simultaneously launched, has now been pushed back to March 24.

According to the company's official website, the delay is due to further "testing and polish to make it as good as can be."

Perhaps to appease gamers who are sure to feel let down by another set of delays, Rockstar has also come out with a screenshot of the games in 4K resolution. Gamers would at least have a glimpse on what they could expect once it comes out. The 4K resolution is only available on the Windows platform, said Ordoh.

Another thing to look forward to in the PC version is that "GTA 5" could support not just two, but up to three monitors, including an Nvidia 3D vision, reported PC Mag. It would come with an exclusive video editing tool for anyone who'd want to share their gameplay clip to Youtube or at Rockstar's Social Club.

Meanwhile, the silver lining in this dim news for gamers is that the Heists DLC for consoles would arrive before the PC version is launched. "Online Heists for consoles will be launching in the coming weeks ahead of the PC launch," said Rockstar. The company has not indicated any specific date for the console Heists DLC launch, though.

New leaks on the console version of the Heists DLC, however, have shown that gamers could now choose from seven different automobiles. These include the law enforcement vehicle Vapid Guardian, heavy-duty industry vehicle HVY Insurgent, Lampadati Casco, which is rumored to be either a sports car or a luxury car, dirt bike Dinka Edura, sports sedan Karin Kuruma, Karin Technical and an electronic motorcycle Principe Lecto.
