Fans of the hit MTV series, "Teen Wolf," are in great anticipation on what to see in the fifth season.
The fourth season ended in September last year and numerous storylines were left hanging. Viewers are hoping that many of these plots would find its resolution in the next season, which would come out in April.
As the series continue to go deeper into the life of werewolf Scott McCall and his friends in Beacon Hills, here are some of the top six plot rumors we hope to see in the upcoming episodes.
1. The Desert Wolf's Identity
In season 4, werecoyote Malia Tate received a shocking revelation regarding her true family, reported Bustle. Peter Hale, Malia's biological father has revealed her mother is the Desert Wolf.
However, he could not remember anything about her mom, only that, Malia would find out who she is through Kate. Meanwhile, Braeden has already told Derek she has spent years looking for someone named Desert Wolf.
It's probable that both Malia and Braeden would continue their search for the true identity of the Desert Wolf in the fifth season.
2. Derek's Transformation
In the last season, Derek left Beacon Hills and perhaps it had something to do with his newfound power. The former werewolf's transformation into a wolf is among the storylines that would be explored in the upcoming season, said executive producer Jeff Davis.
Derek's strength would give him a more frightening demeanor. Speaking to IB Times, Davis said that Derek "may never be an alpha again." The producer added, "He's reached a level of power that he can manipulate his body so he has that control now."
However, it does not mean that he is now a match to Scott McCall. Davis clarified, "He's just not the leader of a pack. In many ways, it's like having a very powerful second in command almost."
3. The True Identity of Deputy Jordan Parrish
Season 5 would also expound on the true supernatural identity of Deputy Jordan Parrish. In a separate report by IB Times, Ryan Kelley, who plays Parrish, suspects his character could be a phoenix. It remains to be seen in the upcoming episodes if Kelley's guess is correct.
4. Liam's New Love Interest
Dylan Sprayberry told VC Post that his character Liam would finally fall in love in the fifth season. Sprayberry mentioned a closer friendship with Mason in the upcoming episodes and it could possibly result to a new relationship.
5. The Return Of Doctor Valack
This character was introduced in the last episode of season 4. According to another report by Bustle, Doctor Valack would return in the fifth season and would be seen working hand-in-hand with Peter Hale.
6. Major Character Leaving
Holland Roden, who plays banshee Lydia, revealed to Movie Pilot that a major character is not returning next season. The actress refused to reveal anything more than that and viewers would just have to watch to find out.
