"Glee" star Lea Michelle could finally be off the market as rumors started to go around that she is engaged to new boyfriend, Matthew Paetz.
According to Hollywood Life, the 28-year-old star, who was on her way to Jimmy Kimmel Live last Jan. 21, was spotted with what looks like an engagement ring on her finger. She and Matthew have been dating for less than a year.
Sources reveal that 29-year-old Matthew, who hails from Jamestown, Indiana, helped Lea move on from the death of her former co-star and boyfriend, Cory Monteith. The actor, who was best known for his role as Finn Hudson on the Fox television series "Glee," died due to a tragic drug overdose on July 13, 2013.
In another post by Hollywood Life, the couple had decided to move in together after dating for only four months. Matthew was reportedly packing his stuff from his home and heading over to Lea's $1.4 million house in Hollywood, Los Angeles.
The two met on the set of her music video "On My Way," and started to see each other exclusively since.
The couple has kept their romance low-key, as this was Lea's first serious relationship since the death of Cory. Both are enjoy physical activities as they were usually spotted hiking together.
In a report by Bustle, Matthew works as a dating and lifestyle coach in Los Angeles.
He is also no stranger to showbiz as he is good friends with actor Jonathan Kite of "2 Broke Girls" and music video director T.K. McKamy.
Hollywood Life reports that Matthew works for a website called Cowboys4Angels, which offers male companionship to lonely women. On his profile, it says there that he charges $350 per hour, $6,000 for the weekend and $17,500 for the week.
So far, Lea's reps have not commented on the issue. And it could be that the ring is just an accessory rather than an engagement ring.
On Christian Today, the sixth and final season for "Glee," which consists of 13 episodes, premiered on Jan. 9, 2015. The two-hour series finale will air on March 20.
In this season, "Glee" is taking a bold step as it goes on to tackle sensitive social issues. In the latest episode, Brittany (played by Heather Morris) and Santana (Naya Rivera) got engaged. Although their friends were very supportive of their decisions, the two will have to face the problems with their families who do not agree with their marriage.
Another interesting topic to be tackled in the season is the issue on pre-operative transsexuals, which will involve football coach Shannon Beiste (Dot Marie Jones).
