It would appear that the fans of the hit CBS comedy, "The Big Bang Theory," will have to wait some more before the show airs back on TV. According to The International Business Times, the 13th episode of the eighth season was put on hold until January 29, after a two-week hiatus, since the network decided to prolong the series until May of this year.
The upcoming episode, entitled "The Anxiety Optimization," which was directed by Mark Cendrowski and written by Jim Reynolds, Tara Hernandez, and Steve Holland, is reportedly going to be focused on Sheldon, played by Jim Parsons.
Sheldon realizes that he becomes much more productive whenever he gets anxious. With this in mind, he makes it a mission to keep his anxiety level high as much as possible so that he is able to perform much better at work. However, whenever he nearly reaches his targeted state, he feels happy that his plan is working, and his anxiety level normalizes again.
Also, Raj, played by Kunal Nayyar, will be having a huge blow out with his on-screen girlfriend, Emilie, involving his pet dog, Cinnamon.
Chuck Lorre, the Executive Producer of the internationally famous comedy, revealed that the Episode 13 will also be paying tribute to the late Carol Ann Susi, who had recently died last November. Susi was the nagging voice behind Howard Wolowitz's mother.
"We shot an episode last week that deals with the loss of Carol Ann," Lorre shared, as reported by USA Today. He stated that they had no idea how to address her death at first. However, After "a couple of months," they all managed to "deal with it."
Melissa Rauch, the actress who plays the role of Bernadette, has also been making her own name in the industry as of late. She recently did "The Bronze," which she co-wrote with her husband, Winston. The film turned a lot of heads, especially with its particularly steamy, and funny, bed scene.
In fact, according to Air Herald, it was described as one of the most over-the-top scenes in the history of film. Many critics even mentioned that the now-famous bed scene was the only highlight of what was a lackluster attempt at comedy.
The report also said that this could be what the new season of "Big Bang Theory" needs. A more daring Bernadette, paired with her adorable, geeky persona, could be a twist that the show runners might want to further develop.
