‘Frozen 2’ Release Date & Cast: Emily Blunt Joins Sequel? ‘No!’ Says Actress

Rumors that Disney might make a "Frozen 2" movie have spurred the current string of speculations about who will be added to the cast. The big wigs of Disney, according to KDrama Stars, have been eyeing Jennifer Lawrence for a part in the much awaited sequel.

A source told OK! Magazine that JLaw's husky version of "The Hanging Tree" in the blockbuster "Mockingjay Part 1" surprised a lot of people. "Now, execs at Disney think she could be the new Kristen Bell," said the insider. "She's such a relevant star. She'd bring tons of fans to the next film."

Apart from Lawrence, Emily Blunt has also been tied to the rumors of "Frozen 2" as well. However, the "Into the Woods" star decided to cut the string short and immediately denied having any participation in the upcoming Disney animation.

"No. No! That series is for my friend, Kristen Bell, who just crushed it, and I am so happy for her," Blunt said. "So, no. I don't know. There's just never going to be another Elsa and an Anna. There just can't."

After being released for public viewing, in just a span of two months, it was already confirmed that "Frozen" was the top grossing animated film, as reported by Venture Capital Post. It would appear that Disney has certainly hit the jackpot, and the studio is making sure that they make the sequel right. Otherwise, the impact that the first movie made would be ruined.

The report also says that fans from all over the globe have been petitioning for Jack Frost's inclusion in the sequel. Frost comes from the animated film, "Rise of the Guardians," from DreamWorks Animation. Fans of "Frozen" believe that he could be a great love interest for the lonely Queen Elsa.

According to the fan who made the petition, Elsa and Jack were both "pushed away by others and see themselves in a negative aspect." Additionally, both of them also "went through great pain for their sibling."

Thankfully for those who have been itching for the sequel, Disney has confirmed that they will be releasing a short film, "Frozen Fever," by spring of this year, according to KDrama Stars. Although not much have been said about this upcoming animation, Hallels confirmed that Josh Gad, Kristen Bell, Jonathan Groff, and Idina Menzel will be returning to reprise their roles.

"Frozen 2" remains to be a rumor as of now with Disney not confirming the release date, cast and other essential information yet.
