Diva Mariah Carey has once again come under fire after the singer was caught in a lip-sync disaster while performing in Jamaica's 2015 Jazz And Blues Festival held at Trelawny Stadium.
The 44-year-old songstress was caught on video mixing up lines, failing to sing along with her audio and incorrectly singing some of the lyrics.
According to TMZ, Saturday night's concert was an epic fail as Carey looked like she was close to giving up. The "Sweetheart" singer, currently undergoing divorce proceedings from husband Nick Cannon, included hit songs "Fantasy" and "Touch My Body" in her song list.
Stuff.com.nz reported that while the performance was difficult to watch, Mariah didn't give up and "kept making singing faces and flashed a big smile." Immediately following the performance, the publication notes that fans, who put up $200 a pop, complained about the crooner's sub-par performance.
"She completely lipped Fantasy! I'm a die hard lamb but her mouth did not even move," said one fan who expressed her disappointment in the Jamaica Observer.
"I didn't see one genuine singing whatsoever... She lip sync during the entire set..She is one of the best but to come to Jamaica and only lip sync I am totally unimpressed. Oh well I guess the crowd was more interested in seeing an icon rather than real singing," said another disappointed concert audience member.
The news comes after the star, nicknamed Mimi, came under fire during the December holiday after a disastrous performance on NBC's Christmas in Rockefeller Center.
Carey-Cannon Divorce
Amidst these less-than-steller stage performances, Carey is believed to be undergoing divorce proceedings with her husband of six years.
In an earlier report, TMZ claimed that the "Hero" singer's 34-year-old spouse filed for divorce on Dec. 12, 2014. While neither celebrity has confirmed their divorce, it was already confirmed by the "American's Got Talent" host that he and his wife have separated and are living apart.
Per Perezhilton, the "Drumline" actor said during an August interview with Lara Spencer, "There is trouble in paradise. We have been living in separate houses for a few months," and continued to say that his "main focus" are his kids.
Mariah is currently working on a career comeback. The "Always Be My Baby" singer has as Las Vegas artist-in-residence deal that includes at 18-song set list of her top hits with Caesars Palace's The Colosseum.
