As the expected launch of the Samsung Galaxy S6 draws nearer, more and more leaks have hit the web giving audiences a fairly good idea of what the upcoming smartphone has in store.
Per the tech site SamMobile, which has a pretty good insider information track record, a new photo of the South Korea-based firm's flagship device has been leaked.
With a number of hardware and specs leaks, SamMobile's new photo sheds light on the much-awaited phone's external appearance. The photos shared by the site illustrate a slim phone with curved edges, similar to Apple's new design which appears in the newest iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
The site goes on to note another similarity in the device's home button, "The home button appears to slightly taller and circular when compared to the home button on the Galaxy S5."
Additionally located at the bottom of the phone are the Galaxy S6's headphone jack and the microUSB port. Additionally, you will now find the phone's senors, namely for proximity and ambient light along with the camera are on the ear piece's left hand side.
Samsung Galaxy S6 Features and Size
Due to the decline in Samsung smartphone sales and the under-performance of 2014's Samsung Galaxy S5, it's been reported that Samsung has undergone a redesign process for the Galaxy S6 dubbed as "Project Zero."
Per a recent schematics leak by Nowehereelse via Forbes, the Samsung S6, due out in early March during the MWC 2015, will be taller and narrower than the S5. With dimensions of 143.52 x 70.7 x 7.19 mm (5.65 x 2.78 x 0.28-inches), it's also reported that the S6 will come with a materials upgrade -- specifically an aluminum unibody chasis -- like the iPhone 6 and the HTC One series.
Internally, the S6 i said to have 3 or 4 GB of RAM along with a Exynos processor as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 is reported to be having problems with overheating. The 5 inch smartphone is also rumored to have a 20 MP camera with OIS, 4k 3840 x 2160 resolution and come reprogrammed with the Android Lollipop.
Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge
While there is a lot of talk regarding the Samsung Galaxy S6, there is also buzz about an alleged an Edge model to have a slide-off panel on the right side, a variant of the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge released in 2014.
