Kendrick Lamar's much-awaited album still has no official release date. Lamar and TDE, or Top Dawg Entertainment, have managed to keep details about his 2015 album under wraps.
Still, even without any news about the album's title or cover photo, many close friends and colleagues have shared their excitement with the press, according to News Everyday.
Jay Rock, a co-label of Lamar's, told Billboard, "Kendrick really stepped his game up."
"Lamar's perfecting that s***, 18 hours a day," Schoolboy Q said, describing the new rapper's amazing lyrical work.
Moreover, the report also mentioned that Lamar has experience working with various musicians, such as Dr. Dre, George Clinton, and even Pharrell Williams. Plus, rumor has it that Lamar, who used to be famous for K. Dot, has a collaboration with Snoop Dogg in the works.
Hot New Hip Hop reported that the Doggfather recently posted a picture of himself and Lamar on his official Instagram account. He captioned it with, "Work!! K.Dot." The social media post does not reveal much, except for a glimpse of two amazing artists busy at "work" in a studio.
This photo sparked speculations that the two immensely talented west coast reps might actually be working on an album together. The Internet is abuzz with questions about whether or not this rumored collaboration will be included in Lamar's 2015 sophomore album, or in Uncle Snoop's upcoming "Bush" project with Williams.
Back in 2011, Snoop and The Game, among others, praised Lamar for his rapping skills. He told the rising rapper, "You great at what you do. N****, you got the torch. You better run with it. It's yours." Lamar was speechless and was in tears after the public acknowledgment, reported The Urban Daily.
If the reports about his rumored work with Snoop are true, then it certainly looks like his plate is going to be pretty full. Lamar is already prepping himself to headline UK's Wireless Festival and working on his 2015 album. However, the possibility of Lamar working with one of his West Coast forefathers in the industry seems to take the cake, according to Vibe.
Lamar gave his fans a quick listen to an untitled track, which may or may not be featured in his new album, when he appeared on "The Colbert Report."
"It's a good album. That's what I can tell you," is the only thing he would reveal about it, as reported by News Everyday.
