It seems that British singer Adele's upcoming third album just got a boost from another artist. Word is out that Phil Collins is collaborating with the "Hometown Glory" singer for her next record.
It has been four years since Adele last came out with an album and fans are anticipating the next one. But according to Huffington Post, the "Skyfall" singer is already back to work on her next album and has even enlisted the help of fellow English artist, Phil Collins.
The two first began working together in 2013, however, that didn't work out well.
The former Genesis drummer revealed to The Daily Mail that Adele reached out to him first and asked for help with some songs.
"She's a slippery little fish is Adele," Collins described the Grammy winner.
"She got hold of me and asked if I would write with her. She gave me a piece of music to finish and at first I didn't know if I'd failed the audition as I didn't hear back from her," said the 63-year old singer.
But it seems that the so-called "snubbing" has been clarified when Collins was finally able to talk to the singer.
The "Against All Odds" singer shared: "She said, 'No, no, I'm moving house and the baby's taking up a lot of my time. I'm not actually doing anything at the moment. And now, I've heard there's a 29 coming out. I'm not on it, I know that.'"
When Collins first revealed he'd be collaborating with the "Someone Like You" songstress, he heaped praises for the work that she has achieved.
"I've just started to work with Adele. I wasn't actually aware of her work. I live in a cave, but she's achieved an incredible amount. I really love her voice. I love some of this stuff she's done, too," he said.
A report by The Mirror claims that the Collins is now back to working with Adele for her next album.
"Over the past few months, Phil has been working in the tracks once again," a source told The Mirror. "Adele put all her work on hold for a while, so it wasn't anything personal. It was just delayed."
The source further added: "She did tell Phil she was prioritizing her personal life at that time, but now that she's back in work mode their track is happening once again."
