On the heels of the newest "Furious 7" trailer, actor Luke Evans teased fans about a possible appearance in the upcoming film.
While role comebacks are not uncommon, the character of Owen Shaw, played by Evans, died in the last film and is the reason for Jason Statham's character. As the brother of Owen, Ian Shaw is out for blood and is seeking revenge for the death of his brother. The plot of "Furious 7" is anchored on the vendetta Statham's character has against Toretto and his crew.
According to Enstarz, in an interview posted via Facebook, Evans talks about the possibility of a Letty-like reincarnation into the film. While fans can't discount the possibility of an appearance by way of flashbacks, if Evans is set to make an appearance, it'll be interesting to see how this can be maximized to affect the film's plot.
A new trailer for the upcoming film was released during Super Bowl XLIX but Evans wasn't included in the footage.
New "Furious 7" Trailer
Universal Pictures unleashed to audiences an action-packed TV spot guaranteed to get franchise fans excited. The clip that shows footage of the franchise actor left audiences with a bittersweet taste in their mouths as we recall the fact that Paul Walker is no longer with us.
The 70-second trailer opens with Dom taking a ride with his ladylove, Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) and images of the series cast. "The most important thing in life will always be family. The people right here, right now," said the voice-over.
Following the peaceful opening, Toretto receives a call from Ian and suddenly all we see is the iconic family house blowing up and bursting into flames.
As the team assesses they're being hunted by "the big bad brother," we then see Walker jump into action saying, "I'm going with you."
From flying cars to broken buildings, the team behind the film didn't spare any action. Based on the footage released, if you think Owen Shaw was bad in "Fast and Furious 6," his brother is a completely different -- and incredibly worse -- villain.
"Furious 7" is to hit theaters April 2015. The film's cast includes Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Ludacris and Paul Walker - who passed away midway through filming. His brothers stepped in as body doubles to assist in completing the late actor's final film project.
