'The Sims 4' Get to Work' Release Date: 'Playable' Jobs Revealed; 'Family Trees' Return

Fans of the life simulation game, "The Sims," now have a new thing to be excited about. Electronic Arts has released an extended gameplay to "The Sims 4" which would see your favorite sims in new careers.

The developers behind "The Sims" made the announcement on their website on Feb. 4. According to the press release, the new expansion pack is called "The Sims 4 Get to Work!'

It would feature three additional careers for your Sims. Not only that, the game would also have a complete career playable venue so gamers could fully experience the workload each Sim is doing.

According to Game Spot, players could choose their Sims to be an emergency room doctor, a scientist or a police detective.

The doctor would have a wide range of activities from treating minor wounds on patients, operating on a surgery or delivering babies.

The police detective would take part in crime investigations, arresting criminals and interrogating other Sims. And while the game may be just a simulation of real life, the Sims would also be given the opportunity to work their career up from a Cadet to a Chief of Police.

The third career option for players is the scientist where one could come up with inventions such as the Sim Ray that could be used for the good or bad of all the other Sims.

And it's not just the careers that have received an upgrade. Even the office and work locations of these new employment options come fully stocked with equipment that would make their work a lot easier and manageable.

For those who are keen on starting their own business, the upcoming game also has something that would help players realize the inner entrepreneur in them.

Options for a boutique, salon, bakery, bookstore or art gallery have been made available to the Sims so they could start their own business if they prefer such over choosing a career in the sciences and police.

A new set of skills would also be made available to the Sims so they could do their work or business better. Learn how to bake or take a photograph with the new skills added on the latest expansion pack.

Perhaps the most interesting thing Electronic Arts has added to the game is that of aliens walking among the Sims. Players would have a field day trying to recognize which are true Sims and which are aliens in disguise.

Meanwhile, Game Rant has reported that a Genealogy feature has been added to "The Sims 4" so players could trace their family trees.

In late 2014, the developers of the game have announced that the family tree feature was to be removed from the main game. However, it seems that the company has changed its mind with the introduction of the Genealogy in the fourth version.

"The Sims 4 Get to Work!" is part of the fifteenth anniversary of the game, noted PC Gamer. The expansion pack is set to hit PC and Mac in April 2015.
