"Orange is the New Black" fans are wondering whether or not Australian actress Ruby Rose will reprise her role as Stella in the show. In Season 3, Stella was sent to maximum security prison after she stole Piper's (Taylor Schilling) money from her business.
According to Movie Pilot, as of late, it is still unclear whether or not the actress will be back to the hit Netflix series. The publication noted that putting Stella into maximum security could be a good move for the show because this means she could have some interaction with Natasha Lyonne's Nicky Nichols. With two of them there, it's highly possible that the writers of the award-winning series will come up with interesting plotlines to chronicle what their lives were like there.
Meanwhile, another reason why Rose's Stella could return to "Orange is the New Black" Season 4 is because Lyonne previously said that there's also some hope for Nicky to be back. If one of the characters in maximum security will return to the series, then it shouldn't be a problem to add Stella to the storylines.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Lyonne talked about her character's fate in "OITNB" season 4. According to her, she wasn't very sad when she found out that Nicky will be shipped to maximum security because she felt it was necessary for the journey and growth of her character.
"I was excited to read it. I would actually argue that there were huge stakes for Nicky Nichols this season much more than any previous season. It makes sense that a self-destructive person would end up where she did," she said.
When asked to confirm her character's return to the series, Lyonne said that she cannot say yes or no as of late.
"Orange is the New Black" Season 4 will premiere on Netflix in June 2016.
