Hugh Jackman, known for playing the Marvel character "The Wolverine," is attempting to sell his $38.9 million New York City triplex condo unit a year after his shock divorce from Deborra-Lee Furness.
Jackman had previously listed the triplex property in June 2022. That was about a year before he and Furness suddenly announced they were divorcing after 27 years of marriage. At the time, the home was also listed with an asking price of $38.9 million. Jackson removed the listing after failing to find a buyer for two months.
The actor later attempted to rent the condo for $125,000 a month in September 2023, a day after he and Furness announced their divorce. He removed the rental listing two months later.
Now, Jackman has again listed the condo for sale for $38.9 million, attempting to sell it for a second time, as reported by Realtor.com.
Inside Jackman's Condo Triplex
The Wolverine actor and his former wife bought the three-floor condo unit in the West Village neighborhood in 2008 for $21 million. The unit spans 11,000 square feet and features five bedrooms, five bathrooms, and two half-baths. The triplex is located in a building designed by Richard Meier, with sweeping views of the Hudson River. That building is a full-service condominium, providing homeowners access to a fitness center and a full-time doorman.
Jackman's condo has several spectacular features, including a spiral staircase connecting the three levels. It also has a wall of windows, per Mansion Global.
The property's main level features a double-height great room with an open living and dining area. It is connected to a chef's kitchen with marble countertops, stainless steel burners, and a home office.
The primary suite spans the condo's second floor. That area has a studio and exercise space, spa bath, and different dressing areas. The other bedrooms and the library are located on the lower levels.
Jackman's Other Properties
Apart from the West Village triplex, Jackman and Furness bought their marital home in Melbourne in April 1997 for $160,000. That property was listed for $498,000 in August 2015.
The Wolverine star also stayed in a six-bedroom converted barn near the Church of St. Mary the Virgin in Oxfordshire while filming Les Miserables. While he did not purchase the property, he reportedly donated money to fund the nearby church's new heating system, Architectural Digest reported.
Jackson and Furness bought a 2.5-acre property in East Hampton in 2015. That waterfront compound featured three bedrooms and five bathrooms and was listed on the rental market for $166,666 per month in early 2023.
Jackson owns two other properties: a $5.9 million three-bedroom, two-bathroom penthouse in Bondi Beach and a $21.12 million Jean Nouvel-designed penthouse in Chelsea.
