"Piano Man" crooner Billy Joel has finally sold his massive megamansion in South Florida after failing to find a buyer for six long years.

The music icon sold the 13,349-square-foot, Mediterranean-style megamansion for $42.6 million. Despite its hefty price tag, the mansion was sold far below its original asking price of $64.9 million.

It is unclear who the buyer of Joel's megamansion is. The sale was first reported by Realtor.com.

Billy Joel's Journey To Selling His Megamansion

Joel purchased the 13,000-square-foot, 1.61-acre estate in 2015 for $22 million. He attempted to flip the property for $33 million three years later.

The singer relisted the nine-bedroom, 11-bathroom property in 2022 with an asking price of $64.9 million. Since then, he has slashed the price numerous times. The asking price was brought down to $54.9 million at the start of this year. It was discounted again in March to $49.9 million.

Joel finally agreed to the offer of $42.6 million.

Located in the exclusive Manalapan area in Palm Beach, the stunning megamansion features expansive spaces to entertain guests, including large reception areas and a formal dining room. It also features a butler's pantry near the eat-in kitchen, a home bar, and a paneled library with a fireplace.

Moreover, the house has sweeping views of the Intracoastal Waterway.

Billy Joel's Other Real Estate Properties

Joel's Florida sale is not the only real estate property he recently offloaded. Earlier this summer, the crooner listed his country estate in Highland Falls, New York, for $1.99 million. The historic property, known as Overlook, is where Joel composed some of his popular songs, including "New York State of Mind" and "Turnstiles," per the New York Post.

That five-bedroom, four-bathroom estate was previously listed on the market for $2.5 million before the price was brought down.

He also listed his 20,000-square-foot estate in Centre Island, NY, for $49.9 million. That property features 18 bedrooms and three pools. He recently invited real estate agents to attend a posh, open-house party at the home.
