Tech giant Apple has announced some essential information about its new 21.5-inch iMac. The company said that the new iMac will be receiving a major upgrade. When Apple's new desktop computers is sold to the public, it is expected to be equipped with faster processor and a better memory.

A new feature that is rumored to be integrated in the 21.5-inch iMac is the display with 4k video quality, a report from iDigital Times said. It can be recalled that previous iMac models only had 1080p display quality. It was stressed that 4K video quality increases the number of colors -- red, green and yellow -- by 25 percent on the computer screen.

"The specs of the new 21.5-inch iMac have also received an upgrade. The 21.5-inch iMac processor has been upgraded to Intel's Broadwell processor, and will have two main options available: a 1.6GHz dual-core i5 model, and a 3.1GHz quad-core i5 model. If you would like to have the 24K display, the 3.1GHz quad-core i5 is the lowest tier option you can start at," Tech Mauri reports.

With the new 21.5-inch iMac, Apple will likely upgrade the device's RAM specifications. Apple users will be given an option to have up to16GB of RAM while the memory module will be upgraded to 1867GHz LPDDR3, from 1600MHz LPDDR3. There's also a rumor that Thunderbolt 2 will be paired to the new device.

"The idea behind iMac has never wavered: to craft the ultimate desktop experience. The best display, paired with high-performance processors, graphics, and storage - all within an incredibly thin, seamless enclosure. And that commitment continues with the all-new 21.5‑inch iMac with Retina 4K display. Like the revolutionary 27‑inch 5K model, it delivers such spectacular image quality that everything else around you seems to disappear. Adding up to the most immersive iMac experience yet - and another big, beautiful step forward," said Apple, describing the new iMac model.
