The hit show "Elementary" will be back for its Season 4 premiere next month, and at the New York Comic-Con, the show's cast and crew has revealed several spoilers and new details about the show's upcoming season. John Noble, who plays the father of Sherlock (Jonny Lee Miller), Morland, recently dished details about his character. Meanwhile, various reports suggest that Natalie Dormer, who previously played Moriarty in the show, might be back next season.
In an exclusive interview with Entertainment Weekly, Noble revealed that his character will straighten out the mess that Sherlock managed to get himself in in Season 3. It can be recalled that Season 3 ended with Sherlock beating up Oscar (Michael Weston), and it is said that the former may end up being charged because of his actions. Fortunately, for Sherlock, his dad Morland will be coming to save him.
Noble said during the New York Comic-Con that his character actually has the power to get his son out of the mess.
"He moves in different worlds. He moves above government. He's this very strange fellow that can get anything he wants and doesn't abuse the privilege. He does save the day for Sherlock -- [but] Sherlock [just] can't wait for him to leave!" Noble explained.
Meanwhile, fans are wondering if Moriarty will be coming back to "Elementary" anytime soon. This was apparently teased by the show's executive producer, Robert Doherty, at the New York Comic-Con as well, Moviepilot reports.
However, Doherty said that Dormer, who plays the role, is as elusive as Moriarty, as the actress is currently busy filming for "Game of Thrones" Season 6 as well as "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2." The EP hinted though that with regards to "Elementary," there's something in the pipeline for Dormer's character, and the actress may reportedly be able to squeeze in a cameo for one episode of the show in her hectic schedule.
"Elementary" Season 4 will return on Nov. 5.
