"Outlander" Season 2 may still be months away from its return on TV but fans are excited to hear what awaits Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) and Claire Randall (Caitriona Balfe), as they head over to Paris. While details about casting and spoilers for the upcoming season have been kept to a minimum, several reports noted on the possibility that the show has found its Brianna Randall.
Various reports cited that actress Maeve Foley has been added to the cast of "Outlander," which led to several speculations, including the notion that Foley will be playing the role of fan-favorite character, Brianna. However, Carter Matt reported that executive producer Maril Davis has addressed these rumors and said that there is no truth to these speculations.
"For those asking any & all REAL casting news will only come from official source like @Outlander_Starz or @sony or sometimes a producer," she wrote.
While fans will still have to wait for a casting announcement from the show and the network, actress Caitriona Balfe recently shared details about her relationship with her co-star, Sam Heughan to the Daily Record.
"When I first met Sam at our chemistry test, he was just the nicest guy. He just put me at ease, and I was a little nervous," she said.
The 36-year-old actress also revealed that her chemistry with the 35-year-old Scottish actor was "quite instantaneous."
