'Days of Our Lives' Spoiler: James Scott to Return as EJ DiMera

"Days of Our Lives" teased that the character of EJ DiMera, played by James Scott, will return to the show to reunite with his wife Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) who is currently mourning the loss of their son Will Horton.

When Sami received a letter that was written by EJ, she was certain that it is a real deal and that EJ might be alive. Since Sami believes that his husband isn't dead, she would look for a way to find him, Movie News Guide reported.

The mystery of EJ's death is something that bothers fans. When EJ was killed by Clyde Weston’s thugs, his body was brought to the morgue where his sister Kristen DiMera was seen injecting a mysterious substance into his body. This move sparks speculations that EJ is still alive despite their belief that he was cremated.

EJ's return to the Salem would be a great relief for Sami, especially that she needs him now that their son Will has passed away. Sami has returned to their place a year after the day that EJ was killed only to find her son dead too who was tragically murdered by Ben Weston.

It is rumored that the best time for EJ's return would be on the 50th-anniversary celebration of the show. It would surely be a huge surprise for the viewers, Enstarz reported.

Meanwhile, actor James Scott is said to be very busy and won't be able to return as EJ Dimera for the "Days of Our Lives" this year. But it is rumored that the NBC soap is hiding some information about it to surprise fans.

The reunion rumors of Ejami became stronger when Scott and Sweeney created a video for a DOOL fan Syrian refugee who was interviewed on "Last Week Tonight with John Oliver." In the video, they pretended that EJ was resurrected while integrating the actual scenes of EJ's death. For fans, their reunion is a hint that the couple will be together on the show again.

Scott tweeted about the video saying, "Thank you #LastWeekTonight and #Ali_Sweeney and #Noujain for one last Dimera dance!" but he followed up with a hopeful tweet, "#ejamiaintover." Said tweet even added to the rumors of his return to the show.
