Oppo recently revealed the newest smartphone in their R7 line during Dubai's GITEX. The new device called R7s, features beastly specs that can take on even the latest flagship phones from giant mobile phone companies.

Here is what we know about the "Oppo R7s" so far.

"Oppo R7s" Body and Display

This metal clad smartphone features a 5.5 inches 1080p AMOLED display, protected by a 2.5D glass. According to GSMarena, the "Oppo R7s" measures 151.8 x 75.4 x 6.95 mm and it weighs 155 grams.

"Oppo R7s" Processors

The "Oppo R7s" uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset and it has a giant RAM of 4 GB. It's built in memory is 32 GB but it can be expanded through a microSD slot. The phone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop with ColorOS 2.1.

"Oppo R7s" Cameras

R7s features really good front and back camera specs. It has a 13 MP primary camera and an 8 MP front camera, which is really good, considering that 2 MP front cameras is still a thing even in newly released smartphones, and the usual front cam spec smartphones have is a 5 MP camera.

"Oppo R7s" Battery, Conclusions

The phone uses a 3070 mAh battery and it supports VOOC Flash Charge. So far, the phone seems to have great specs. The only question that remains right now, is how much the "Oppo R7s" costs. If it gets priced to match the smartphones in the lower midrange category, then this phone will be a strong competition to phones in the more expensive end. The 4 GB RAM and the 8 MP front camera is not something you see all the time, especially not in the less expensive smartphone lines.

"Oppo R7s" Release Date

According to sources, the "Oppo R7s" will debut next month in Australia and some parts of Asia. And by December, United States and Europe will follow.
