The co-creator of the hit series 'Empire' has announced that there will be an international star search for the four leading roles in his newest show on Fox.

            The new show entitled 'Star' is being written, directed and executive-produced by Daniels. Tom Donaghy (The Whole Truth) will be joining Daniels behind the cam to serve as an executive producer and as Daniels' co-writer on the pilot.

            According to Entertainment Weekly, Fox announced that the production for the music drama pilot of 'Star' will begin in December in Atlanta.

            USA Today has reported that the story of 'Star' will follow the choices "these artists are faced (with) along the way, while showcasing the allure and heartache of the cut-throat music scene, and exploring cultural themes from a new perspective."

            The four major roles that are being auditioned internationally will include a transgender character who, according to EW, "play young artists with chart-topping aspirations who must navigate the pleasures and pitfalls of the music industry."

            Below is the breakdown and more information about the characters that are needed to be filled-in.

             STAR: "Character is a Caucasian female, 18 years old (actor must be 18 years of age or over). She's a tough chick with a badass attitude."

ALEXANDRA: "Character is an African-American female, about 20 (actor must be 18 years of age or over). She's an elegant yet classic beauty. Alexandra wants to put this material world behind her so she can make real, authentic music."

SIMONE: "Character is half African-American, half Caucasian. She is Star's younger sister, 16 years old (actor must be 18 years of age or over); and is tragic and adorable."

COTTON: "Character is a half African-American and half Latina transgender woman with a stunning look, 20 years old (actor must be 18 years of age or over). She has an especially keen eye for fashion."
