"Uncharted 4: A Thief's End," the upcoming action-adventure video game from Sony and Naughty Dog, will be the last for Nathan Drake. It is set to be released before 2015 ends, but the developer wants to have the ending right and therefore, will have some delay.
"Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" game's co-director Neil Druckmann sheds some light on the delay, which is now scheduled for a March 2016 release.
"This is the last chapter for Nathan Drake, so let's give ourselves as much time as possible and go all-out for this series," Druckmann shared with GameSpot. As Druckman had mentioned, it is truly a hard decision to make, but the developer has something special for the very last scene, where he created a little complication. The report said that this caused the delay.
"Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" game's lead designer Kurt Margenau also revealed that the ending will please the fans.
"We are fulfilling that vision and it's going to be awesome. It's Nathan Drake's final chapter, so I think fans are going to be happy," another report shared.
"The first three games were the set-up, and if we were to do one more, how would we top it all off? How would we bring Nathan Drake's journey to a close? Everything we're doing [with Uncharted 4] is constructed towards that; Bringing closure to a very long journey," Margenau added.
Druckmann also admitted that developing an ending for a game of an era, contains mixed emotions. There are instances that production team members just could not help but to get teary-eyed because of the situation.
"Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" franchise started back in 2007 with "Uncharted: Drake's Fortune." It then followed Drake on his adventures through the years, as a treasure hunter. The "Uncharted" series has been one of the best-selling games of all time, GamesRadar reported.
"Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" is now scheduled to hit the shelves on March 18, 2016 for the PlayStation 4 next-Gen console.
