"Girl Meets World" is definitely a fun series to watch. The Disney Channel series premiered in 2014 and was based on the 1990s sitcom, "Boy Meets World." While everyone else is hooked up with the series, many fans began wondering if the show can use its influence over kids and adults alike in addressing issues in the real world.
Such pleas were heard by the show's writers and creators, as co-creator Michael Jacobs announced on Twitter that "Girl Meets World" will be taking on real issues, Screen Rant reported.
"The simple stories portion of our program is officially over. You have asked us to take on real issues. We are listening," the statement read.
The outlet, however, noted that the show has been addressing real life issues in its past few episodes. This can be seen when Riley was bullied in school and received threats through text messages and internet posts.
The outlet also cited that "Girl Meets World" also took on some real issues when Farkle was being diagnosed of autism. While Farkle feared about being judged by his friends, the show ultimately featured the true value of friendship, as his friends learned that the diagnosis does not change the way they think about Farkle in any way.
Meanwhile, several fans are wondering as to what will happen to this certain "Girl Meets World" love triangle. Carter Matt noted that there is an outstanding notion as to whether or not Lucas (Peyton Meyer) will choose to be with Riley (Rowan Blanchard) or Maya (Sabrina Carpenter). The publication also conducted a poll, whereas 60.13 percent said that Lucas should be with Riley, 37.97 percent voted for Lucas and Maya, while 1.9 percent said Lucas should be paired with someone else.
