Lamar Odom Update: Former L.A. Lakers Star’s Kidneys Are Failing, Series of Strokes Affected His Ability To Talk And Walk; Khloe Kardashian Disraught

In the wake of Lamar Odom's condition, the former L.A. Lakers star player has been disovered to have an alarming kidney failure. He reportedly suffered a series of stroke that affected his motor and speech abilities.

According to OK! Magazine, although it has been reported that Lamar is recuperating well, his doctors recently discovered that he suffered a total of 12 strokes after he had brain scans two weeks ago. He may undergo months of physical therapy to improve his ability to walk and talk.

"The immediate obstacle right now is Lamar's kidneys, which have failed. He'll continue on dialysis and may need a transplant," TMZ reports.

This week, Odom's aunt, JaNean Mercer, released a statement indicating a positive update on the former athlete's condition as she claimed that he's showing gradual improvement both mentally and physically. She said that his speech ability has progressed a lot and he has been responsive. His medical team has reportedly been doing everything to help him recover fast.

Meanwhile, at the height of Odom's condition, Dennis Hof, the owner of the Love Ranch brothel in Las Vegas where the former NBA star was found unresponsive two weeks ago, is said to be following up on Khloe Kardashian for Odom's remaining unsettled bill amounting to $75,000, Starcasm reports. Hof claimed that Odom's stay in the brothel for his intended five to 10 days was not yet paid. The deal also included the service of two prostitutes.

"If I don't get paid for the entire bill, I'll sue Khloe: I know she has the money," Hof said, according to the report.

According to sources, Khloe is not going to waste her energy on Hof, who appears to be a scam. She's reportedly more concentrated on her husband's full recovery at this time rather than arguing with Hof. The reality star is said to be willing to shoulder the amount just to finish the matter once and for all.

As for Odom's condition update, he is still in the L.A. hospital after he was transferred through a helicopter from Las Vegas this week. Khloe and the former NBA star recently called off their divorce.
