"Fifty Shades of Grey" author E.L. James recently shared a series of photos hinting that the production for "Fifty Shades Darker" has already commenced.
According to Latin Post, one of the photos posted by James on her Instagram account was captioned with "Working." This means that even though the actual filming hasn't begun, James is already meeting up and conceptualizing with writer Niall Leonard and director James Foley.
James also posted a photo featuring the nameplate of Michael De Luca productions and a photo of the entire team behind "Fifty Shades Darker."
Meanwhile, fans are wondering when the casting for the three new roles in the film will be revealed. In an interview with E! News, producer Dana Brunetti said that they have not yet tapped a casting director for the sequel.
However, since James has been meeting with the entire "Fifty Shades Darker" team, fans can expect to hear new details about the casting director. Once a casting director has already been tapped, James and the executive producers and director of the film will sit down and hold an open audition for new cast members.
As of late, the roles of Mrs. Robinson, Jack Hyde and Leila Williams have not yet been cast, but it is common knowledge among fans that these are three important roles. This is why fans are urging James and her team to be picky when it comes to hiring a new cast member.
Since Jack is Christian Grey's (Jamie Dornan) nemesis, fans want to see someone who could be more impactful that Dornan's character.
Leila was Christian's former submissive, and fans want to see a sultry character that is not as innocent as Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson).
Lastly, Mrs. Robinson is the woman who introduced Christian to the world of BDSM, so fans want to see a confident, smart and manipulative woman playing the role.
"Fifty Shades Darker" is slated to hit theaters in the United States on Feb. 10, 2017.
