On Wednesday, Activision Australia announced that its Zombies-themed escape room for its popular game "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" will kick off at this year's PAX Aus. The company said that the escape room will operate starting Oct. 30 until midnight of Nov. 6 at Melbourne's Federation Square, a report from Gamespot said.
"Activision has partnered with Secret Squirrel for the event, a production company specializing in "immersive experiences." The escape room itself will be set in 1940's Morg City, the location featured in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3's Zombies mode and used in the map Shadows of Evil," the report said.
According to the report, fans or interested individuals who would like to join the event will be able to avail free tickets if they register at the website.
"To celebrate the upcoming release of the highly anticipated game Call of Duty: Black Ops III we are excited to offer fans the opportunity to take part in the ultimate Zombies experience! The Black Ops III Zombies Escape Room brings to life Shadows of Evil, the film-noir-inspired horror story from Black Ops III. Taking place in the 1940's in Morg City, this compelling narrative centres around 4 troubled individuals - the femme fatale, the cop, the boxer, and the magician," Eventbrite said via its website, announcing the Escape Room event.
"You will be transported into the private chamber of Nero the Magician where you will encounter a number of challenges which you must overcome in order to escape. Teamwork is key so choose your companions wisely. Escape Rooms are a physical, live puzzle game where participants face a series of brainteasers, which they must solve to unravel the mystery storyline and escape the room within a set time limit," the company said.
It was further emphasized that places in the escape room are limited, and registration of participants to reserve a ticket is required because each session is limited only for six people. Fans will experience approximately 30 minutes of both fun and excitement.
