The "OnePlus X" is one of OnePlus' latest budget smartphones. According to TechRadar, the "OnePlus X", alongside the "OnePlus Mini" and the "OnePlus 3", all focused on style over substance. So how much of a unique release is "OnePlus X" for the company? Let's compare it with the "OnePlus 2" to find out:

"OnePlus X" and "OnePlus 2" both come with LTE network and with dual sim support. However, the "OnePlus 2" comes with a fingerprint sensor which the "OnePlus X" does not have. But the "OnePlus X" has an FM radio that is absent on the "OnePlus 2".

"OnePlus X" has a 16 GB internal memory with a RAM of 3 GB and a microSD slot that can cater to extra memory of up to 128 GB. "OnePlus 2" on the other hand do not have a microSD slot and it comes in two storage variants, a 16 GB with 3 GB RAM and a 64 GB with a 4 GB RAM.

"OnePlus X" has a 13 MP camera with autofocus and LED flash. Its front cam is 8 MP. "OnePlus 2" has the same 13 MP camera but it has OIS, laser auto focus, and a dual LED flash. The front cam is just 5 MP.

"OnePlus X" has a Li Po 2525 mAh battery while the "OnePlus 2" has a Li Po 3300 mAh battery - both phones' battery are non removable.
Verdict
Belonging to the same price group, it would seem that in choosing between the two phones, it is just a matter of preference and priority. "OnePlus 2" has the fingerprint sensor that the "OnePlus X" doesn't have. It also has a better rear cam. But the "OnePlus X" has a better design, better front camera, and lighter weight.
