Amazon has unveiled an offline playback for Amazon Prime members that are using Prime Music streaming. Aside from the ability to download songs for an offline playback, it will also deal with some of the users' requests, which is to directly download the songs to the phone's SD card to prevent consuming a lot of space from the internal storage.
Prime Music's option for offline playback is very handy as it lets the users listen to their collection of tracks from over a million songs while travelling, or just about anywhere else that may have no available internet connection. However, without the support for SD cards, one easy way to increase the storage space on Android phones is for users to limit the number of songs they could bring around anytime.
When SD cards are supported, then there would be no need for this limitation, Prime Music shared.
The latest Android Wear support will allow the users to browse the Amazon Music app as well as control the playback from their wrist.
Along with the updates are a few other Amazon Music interface tweaks, which include the inclusion of a "New to Prime" tab in the Prime Music that shows the latest releases, as well as the "Popular" tab displaying the top songs from the charts, including playlists and albums. Lyrics support will also be available not only in the U.S., but will also include the U.K.
While today's Amazon Music remains to have a shorter catalogue of tracks than its competitors like Spotify and iTunes, it is the kind of service which has been consistently improving time and again, because Amazon is able to streamline its software, gain exclusives, even dares Pandora with its "Prime Stations," and a lot more, TechCrunch reported.
Amazon Music track fans can now save on a micro SD card against having just an option of locally storing the files. In addition, it now supports the devices of Android Wear that lets users gain control of their music and browse through the music from their wrists.
The Amazon music update will soon arrive in the Google Play Store.
