The anticipation of fans for the Season 2 of "Outlander" increases as its air date in March next year draws near. While waiting though, fans are constantly treated to various plot spoilers for the second season, and the latest reports claim that Brianna, also known as Bree, will appear in the upcoming season of the series and may finally meet her father by time traveling.

Master Herald reports that contrary to the Diana Gabaldon's book "Dragonfly in Amber," on which the TV series is based, "Outlander" Season 2 will feature Brianna, who is Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie's (Sam Heughan) daughter. According to the site, Brianna only makes an appearance in Gabaldon's series in the fourth book, but in the show, she will reportedly be introduced early into the story. The site further states that Season of "Outlander" will feature different plot twists but will eventually reconnect with the novel's plot.

Back in August, TV Line reported that a casting call was made for Brianna, and it was stated in the casting notice that "Brianna has secretly followed her mother back in time to find the father she never met and the family she never knew." The site stated that the said plot does happen in the novel series, but not until the fourth book, which is "Drums of Autumn." It will therefore be interesting to see how the character plays out early in the story in the second season of the show and how much the plot of the show will deviate from Gabaldon's works.

Meanwhile, Christian Post also said that the TV series will be featuring time shifts, which is the main reason why it will not be able to follow the novel's story, which brings in more opportunity for shocking twists in the plot of the show.

"Outlander" Season 2's air date is reportedly set for March 2016 on Starz.
