"Iron Man 4," the impending installment of the "Iron Man" series, has become the talk of the town. A plethora of avid fans are already looking forward to watching the upcoming movie. While it seems that Robert Downey Jr's contract with Marvel ended already, there are still a lot of rumors circulating that the actor will return for the "Iron Man 4."
Downey as "Iron Man 4" speculations were repeatedly denied by the actor himself, which is quite a sad news for a lot of fans. Also, there are rumors that the next main character for the most-awaited film will be Ty Keegan Simpkins, retaining the character of the famous Tony Stark, International Business Times reported.
Simpkin's popular movies include "The Next Three Days," "Insidious," and "Revolutionary Road." With the child actor's overall acting skills and stellar performance, as well as perfect role in the the previous "Iron Man" movie, he truly deserved the nomination given to him at the Saturn Awards as the Best Performance by a Young Actor. Furthermore, the young actor was given another break in the "Jurassic World" movie, which is without a doubt a great box office hit.
The rumors started when Downey Jr.'s contract with Marvel finally came to an end. It was completely done in the third installment of the film according to Crossmap. While there are some negotiations happening, the actor however is said to be negotiating for percentage of income instead of the usual fixed amount. This is without a doubt a wise move for the actor as the franchise is earning a large sum of money for the movies.
It is also reported that Downey Jr.'s involvement as "Iron Man" in the upcoming Marvel movies might be the company's way of giving the actor his grand and remarkable farewell.
"Iron Man 4" would more likely be Downey-less if the negotiations did not pan out.
