PlayStation 5 is Most Likely a Streaming Service

PlayStation 5 has four remaining years before its final market release, but it appears that Sony Entertainment has already started to work on the next console, which makes a lot of people wondering about the details.

The PlayStation 5 developers are reportedly given the entire freedom with regards to the design of the forthcoming console. This was confirmed by Sony Worldwide Studios President, Shuhe Yoshida, when he spoke to Recode in an interview during the final "Revolutionaries."

In addition, Sony appears to begin recruiting developers who will be part of the next PlayStation 5. An advertisement has been placed by the company, which indicates their need for the new developer. The advertisement goes something like, "There is an exciting opportunity waiting at the Sony Entertainment of America. We are looking for a senior game programmer that will help us in the development of a game which is used for R&D purposes that is relevant to our upcoming generation gaming system. For somebody who is passionate in gaming, this is a rare chance. After having reviewed the job profile below, if this could be, please apply!"

But in spite of Sony's early start, the next PlayStation 5 is believed not not make it before 2020 hits, CrossMap wrote. Moreover, there is also a chance that the next console's specs may turn out to be not the ones we expected.

PlayStation 5 will most likely be a streaming service, due to the fact that there has already been an increasing number of downloadable games. This was noted by Magazine editor for PlayStation 5, Ben Wilson. He also added that the Steam on PC certainly has proven that the disc drives are becoming irrelevant these days. However, Wilson does not see them being entirely removed for now, as the people continue to love the boxed products while some have been guessing the coming end of the CD for over 20 years now, which evidently turned out otherwise.
