'The Originals' Mid-Season Update: Carmi Returns as a Vampire, Says EP Plec; Premieres Jan. 29 on CW

"The Originals" Season 3 spoilers imply that actress Cami O'Connell is coming back from the dead as a vampire and must get used to a new life.

In "The Originals" season 2 finale, Klaus has finally revealed his affection for Carmi, but when he awoke the following morning, he found her dead. But there is a possibility that Carmi has died with the blood of a vampire in her system which makes it more likely to come back in the coming mid-season premiere as part of those bloodsucking vampires, TVLine shared.

The photo taken behind the scenes and uploaded by Leah Pipes on Instagram seem to give credibility to this favorite theory, as the photo showed Pipes wearing the daylight ring which made a lot of fans believe that the actress is going to be revived in "Ghost of the Mississippi." When asked about Carmi's comeback, Julie Plec, co-executive producer, made a hint that the actress will not return as a human and Aurora may have forced Carmi to carry out suicide once she ever began dating Klaus.

In addition, Pipes also believes that it was necessary to reveal the instability and insecurity of Aurora as well as her jealousy and viciousness as the consequence for her feeling insulted due to the lack of affection from Klaus. The death of Carmi has toughened Aurora to become among the biggest villains to deal with. Pipes also added that Klaus comes face to face with Aurora to see to it that she pays for the crime. For her, nothing seems more fun than to see a mad Klaus, and despite the outcome of events, he certainly gets the part of the vengeance. When Klaus finally succeeds in killing Aurora, ugly things will surely follow, Fashion & Style reported.

"The Originals" season 3 "Ghost of the Mississippi" premiere airs on Jan. 29, Friday on CW.
