Blake Shelton fans, brace yourself as this most loved country artist is going to play the role of a hillbilly pig named Earl. Sounds like fun! Those who love the game Angry Birds must already be in the know, that their favorite smart phone game is going to be a movie.

Angry Birds is known to be a game that slingshots birds and get the player scores every time green pigs get destroyed. Producer John Cohen, explained the story of the movie is, "the origin story for how that conflict came to exist between birds and little green piggies." The movie will be released through the team effort of Rovio Entertainment and Sony Pictures.

According to The Boot, Shelton himself is a fan of the game part of the reason why he accepted the role. "I wish I had a dollar for every minute I lost playing that freaking game, you know?" he said. He was also reported to have written a song for the movie itself. "I can write things about myself and my life, but I don't have a whole lot of experience being shot out of a slingshot at pigs, he reflected at an interview.

So much for losing the game and wishing he had money for it, Shelton will actually have money this time playing the voice for Earl. He said the because of him being requested for more country in his tone, he felt like doing a voice over for Dukes of Hazard. Other voices featured in the film are the voices of Maya, Rudolph, Peter Dinklage, Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, and Danny McBride.

The Scheduled showing in theaters for The Angry Birds Movie will be on March 20.
