Former Major League Baseball star Jermaine Dye's Poway Mansion hits the lower price of $3.99 million. According to the Realtor, Dye failed on his first attempt to sell his property back in August for $4.2 million.
It has been reported that the former World Series MVP bought the house for $3.3 million in 2012 from Cleveland Cavaliers guard Mo Williams.
Javin Hope is the listing agent of the mansion with six bedrooms and six bathrooms that sits on 4.13 acres lot. The house belongs to a gated community called The Heritage.
One of the best features of the house is its tropical lagoon-inspired swimming pool. It has a water slide, waterfalls and an elevated hot tub. There is a 20-foot glass door that will lead to the pool area. Aside from that there is also a half court basketball, a putting green and a turf field. As for the garage, it can accommodate six cars.
According to LA Times, the single-story house welcomes its visitors to a step-down living room. Its dining room has stoned archways and cathedral style ceilings. The interior of the house has an old world feel. It has coffered ceilings and stone accents with wrought iron chandeliers that perfectly complement the whole look.
In addition, there is also a home theater, a game room, a wet bar and an astonishing 1,000-bottle wine cellar. The house simply got everything that a family can ask for.
It was in 2005 that Dye got the World Series Title with the White Sox. Dye retired in 2011 with 325 home runs and 1,072 runs during his 14-year career.
Meanwhile, Chicago Tribune reported that Dye spends majority of his retired life in San Diego. He drives his children to practices. Dye even said that he feels like he is a taxi cab driver with the routine that he does.
