Heads up, bibliophiles! There is one hotel in Florida waiting for you to be served the book of your dreams.
Gone are the days when people only book hotels due to their room size and amenities. Nowadays, millennials are always on the look for the best accommodation that will fit their budget and the aesthetic requirements their Instagram feed requires.
But one hotel in Florida is recently gaining popularity, not because of its Instagrammable location, but its one-of-a-kind book service, perfect for every book lover who just wants to tuck in bed or bathe under the sun with their favorite books.
The Ben West Palm in West Palm Beach waterfront recently announced their latest offering of complimentary room service of serving brand new books in a five-star hotel way.
According to The Ben's General Manager Bernardo Neto, the program aims to promote a glimpse of the literary-inspired history of the 208-room boutique hotel. On top of that, the booking service also aims to support the local community as it is in partnership with a local bookstore called Palm Beach Book Store.
"We understand the value in supporting independently-owned, neighborhood businesses and giving back to our community, particularly during the current economic climate, and are pleased to be able to introduce our guests to such a revered local bookshop as part of this new program," Neto explained.
The Book Butler
The Book Butler service allows guests to order a book on-demand. All you have to do is choose a title from a curated in-room menu and call the hotline to place the order of their book of choice.
In complete formal attire, the legitimate book butler delivers the book on a silver platter, complete with a custom bookmark right at your hotel room's doorstep.
In an Instagram post, The Ben West Palm announced its latest offering, which according to them, is inspired by Byrd Dewey's love of storytelling and literature.
"Inspired by Byrd Dewey's love of storytelling and literature, The Ben has collaborated with Palm Beach Book Store to curate a rotating series of topical and timely books that you may enjoy during your stay," the Instagram post reads, alongside a photo of a butler serving different books on a silver platter.
"Dial "0" from your room to have a brand new, complimentary copy delivered to you by The Ben's Book Butler," the announcement reads.
But wait, there's more! While a book is a perfect companion as you lounge in your hotel room, The Ben West Palm allows you to take the book. Yey!
However, if you choose to leave it, you need not worry as The Ben will donate the books to the West Palm Beach Library Foundation.
Book Bites
Aside from the Book Butler, the hotel also offers a complimentary dining option called Book Bites. Guests who love munching snacks while reading can get a specially-paired small plate as they indulge in their new literary finds.
"During the pandemic, it has been especially important that we continue to connect our customers to books," The Palm Beach Book Store founder Candice Cohen said.
"We look forward to partnering with The Ben to curate a selection of new and topical book titles that relate to the history of the hotel and the city of West Palm Beach, providing a wonderful keepsake for those who are visiting for the first time or who have lived here their whole life," she added.
