In 2018, legendary basketball player LeBron James signed with the Los Angeles Lakers, marking his official departure from the Cleveland Cavaliers-which had been his team for more than a decade.
Prior to the switch, James bought a $23 million mansion in the Brentwood neighborhood in Los Angeles. Acquired in 2017, the mansion spans 15,846 square feet and features eight bedrooms and eleven bathrooms, according to real estate listings website Trulia.
Inside LeBron's $23 Million Mansion
LeBron's L.A. mansion offers a modern feel, with marble touches in nearly every room. The mansion features four en-suite bedrooms, while the master suite has dual bathrooms, showroom-level walk-in closets, and a private patio.
The lower level of LeBron's home features unique amenities such as a rooftop terrace with direct elevator access, a theater room, a wine cellar, a cigar room with air purifying technology, an onyx bar, and an "auto gallery" where the basketball star displays his luxury car collection-which includes a Lamborghini Aventador, Porsche 911 Turbo S, a restored 1975 Chevy Impala, a 2010 Chevy Camaro SS, and a Ferrari 599, per Business Insider.
The mansion also has a guest suite and a private gym that connects to a spa with a massage room, sauce, shower, and steam room. Outside, there is a rolling grass yard, a swimming pool, a heated dining loggia, and an outdoor kitchen with grill and beer taps.
LeBron's Other Real Estate Properties
LeBron's real estate portfolio is worth a jaw-dropping $103 million. Apart from his $23 million mansion in L.A., the legendary basketball star also owns a 13,000-square-foot estate in Beverly Hills that he bought for $36.8 million in 2020. The home once belonged to Katharine Hepburn and Bill and Lee Phillip Bell. However, LeBron tore down the house to rebuild his "dream home" from the ground up, according to Front Office Sports.
Prior to the demolition, the Beverly Hills home featured vaulted ceilings, seven fireplaces, four bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a screening room, and a breakfast courtyard with a teal-tiled fountain.
He also owns a property in Ohio that he purchased for $2.1 million back in 2003 after he signed with the Cleveland Cavaliers and a custom-built, three-story mansion in Florida that he bought for $9 million in 2010.
In addition, LeBron previously owned a 9,440-square-foot colonial mansion in Brentwood-his second in the area-that he purchased in 2015 for $21 million. He sold the mansion for $19.6 million in 2021.
