Nearly 30 more women have allegedly stepped forward to accuse the Alexander brothers of rape and sexual assault, a lawyer who filed the initial lawsuits said.
Real estate broker Oren Alexander and his twin brother Alon, an executive at a private security firm, became the subject of two separate lawsuits accusing them of raping two women in New York in 2010 and 2012.
Just days after the lawsuits were filed, more alleged victims have come forward and accused the Alexander brothers of raping them. That is according to attorney Evan Torgan, one of the lawyers representing the plaintiffs.
"I've spoken to approximately 15 people who say to me they were raped by the Alexander brothers, one [brother] or more, at various times, in New York City, South Beach and in other states as well," Torgan told The Real Deal, which first reported on the lawsuits. The publication noted that Torgan later updated that number to 28.
"I'm talking to new victims every day," he added.
Who Are Oren and Alon Alexander?
Oren previously worked at Douglas Elliman, where he became one of the top brokers in the country. He and his brother Tal, who was not accused in any lawsuit, closed an estimated $7 billion in real-estate deals. They were also known for having celebrity clientele, including Timbaland, Tommy Hilfiger, and Ken Griffin. In 2022, Oren left his position at Douglas Elliman and founded "Official" with Tal.
On the other hand, Alon is listed as president of Kent Services, a security firm founded by his parents. The firm serves New York City real estate groups such as Fortis Property Group, Douglaston Development, and Stellar Management.
What Did the Alexander Brothers Say?
A lawyer for the Alexanders denied the allegations and said they have "very powerful evidence" that would dismiss the allegations of one of the two women.
Since the filing of the lawsuits, Oren announced he was taking a "pause" from Official. The company has also removed his bio from its website and founder page. He has also made his Instagram account private.
The Alexander brothers may respond to the lawsuits until August 19.
